Overview

The Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students (NLSPS) is to complement the Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) to provide loans to eligible students to settle tuition fees of locally-accredited, self-financing full-time programmes at the level of associate degree, higher diploma or degree.

Application Deadline

  • The recommended application submission schedule has passed. If students still need to submit applications, please submit application forms through the “SFO E-link – My Applications” as soon as possible. With effect from 18 January 2025, the “SFO E-link – My Applications” online platform will cease to accept online applications for NLSPS for the 2024/25 academic year. All incomplete online applications in the “SFO E-link – My Applications” online platform will be automatically deleted after 17 January 2025. In any case, applications should reach the Student Finance Office (SFO) no later than 17 January 2025.
  • The SFO will not process late applications beyond 17 January 2025 unless for circumstances that are beyond the control of individual applicants, for instance, commencement dates of their study programmes fall after 17 January 2025 or serious financial hardship as a result of drastic change of their family’s financial situation in recent months.
  • Please note that the SFO will not handle applications for the 2024/25 academic year received after 31 March 2025.
