Eligibility

To be eligible for the STS, you must :
-
be successful in the application for assistance under the Tertiary Student Finance Scheme - Publicly-funded Programmes or Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students;

attend a full-time day course up to first degree level; and
-
reside more than 10 minutes’ walking distance away from your normal place of study and need to travel to school by public transport.

Students taking the following programmes or periods covered by the following study arrangements are not eligible for the STS:

Distance-learning programmes, on-line programmes or programmes outside Hong Kong;

Term-time placement with allowance of any kinds; or
-
Exchange / placement programmes outside Hong Kong.
