President of The Contemporary A Cappella Society of Hong Kong and Macau; and Partner of Whole Note Music
Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowships for Overseas Studies 1996/97
Fully engaged with my work, I was not able to participate actively in activities and events of the Fund. In 2012, nevertheless, I was introduced by staff of the Fund to a few members of the Sir Edward Youde Scholars Association, with whom I formed an a cappella group and performed in the 25th Anniversary awards presentation ceremony cum concert that year. Besides, at the dinner party, I met Lady Youde again! I was delighted to see that she was actively participating in charity work and was deeply respected by all attendants!
New friends whom I made through these events came from different academic areas. This reminds me that the Fund indeed has supported a very wide range of studies in various disciplines. For this, as a young music student, I was amply rewarded in the 90s at which time the society was flourishing in the business development.
While the world is ever changing, I strongly believe that the Fund will continue to shine and bring maximum value to the outstanding Hong Kong's young scholars as before.
