Grantham Scholarships Fund - Grantham Maintenance Grants

History and Aim
The Fund has been established since 1955 to provide assistance to students who are in financial need as assessed under a means test in the form of maintenance grants. A student is eligible if he / she is pursuing any one of the following full-time courses of study:

  • Senior Secondary 1 / Secondary 4 to Senior Secondary 3 / Secondary 6 of a secondary day school approved by the Education Bureau; or

  • certain courses of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education and Youth College under the auspices of the Vocational Training Council. 

Eligibility

  • Full-time students who are in financial need and are studying at the above-mentioned schools / colleges may apply.

Value of Awards

  • The value of award depends on the amount of funds available and the number of eligible applicants in the year of application.

Method of Application

  • The application period of the Grantham Maintenance Grants 2024/25 was closed on 30 September 2024.  No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Payment Arrangement

  • After the Grantham Scholarships Fund Committee has decided on the allocation of the grants, the approved maintenance grants will be remitted by direct transfer to school's account through the bank. The schools will then be requested to make disbursement to the successful candidates.
