Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
(1) HKDSE 5 subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language, or equivalent; OR (2) Mature applicants (aged 21 or above at the start of programme), with 3 years of work experience and pass in both English Language and Chinese Language in HKCEE (Grade E) or HKDSE (Level 2), or equivalent.

Course Outline / 課程大綱:
(1) Module 1 - Safety and Health Legislation (36 hours + 3 examination hours) (2) Module 2 - Accident Prevention Technology (42 hours + 3 examination hours) (3) Module 3 - Safety and Health Management (42 hours + 3 examination hours) (4) Module 4 - Occupational Health and Hygiene (42 hours + 3 examination hours) (5) Module 5 - Practical Site Safety Inspection (6 hours + 3 examination hours) (6) Module 6 - Project (6 hours)

Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
(1) Academic Qualifications: Degree and post-graduate qualification in occupational safety, health, hygiene, engineering, technology or a relevant subject to be taught or equivalent and with TTT training. (2) Professional Qualifications: A corporate membership from a recognized professional institution in engineering, safety, health or hygiene, or other equivalent qualifications. (3) Industry Experience: A minimum of 8 years relevant working experience in the subject to be taught. (post-qualification experience preferably) (4) Other Requirements: Preference will be given to those candidates who are Registered Safety Officers and have teaching experience in relevant subjects. (post-qualification experience preferably)

Assessment / 課程評核要求:
(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: (1) Module 1 - 4 (Assignment 30%; Examination: 70%) (2) Module 5 (Practical Site Safety Assessment: 100%) (3) Module 6 (Research proposal: 10%, Research progress report: 10%, Final Project Report: 60%, Oral Presentation: 20%) (B) Completion Requirements and CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (a) Attain an attendance rate of 80% or above for Module 1 - 4; 100% for Module 5 and 6; and (b) Obtain a minimum mark of 50% for each of the assessment components for Module 1 - 5; an overall pass mark of 50% for Module 6
