Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
1) COMPLETION OF SECONDARY 6, WITH LEVEL 1 IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND CHINESE LANGUAGE IN THE DSE EXAMINATION, OR 2) OTHER ACCEPTABLE EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING NON-LOCAL QUALIFICATIONS OBTAINED IN OR OUTSIDE HK, OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DEEMED TO BE EQUIVALENT); OR 3) MATURE APPLICANTS AGED 21 OR ABOVE. ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO AN ADMISSION INTERVIEW. ADMISSION IS SUBJECT TO DEMONSTRATION OF APTITUDE AND SUITABILITY IN AN INTERVIEW.

(7) Fundamentals of Elderly Care Nursing (45 Hours)
(8) Fundamentals of Nursing and Health Promotion (45 Hours)
(9) Basic Principles in Dispensing (45 Hours)
(10) Professional Caring Skills (49 Hours)

Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
A) A Higher Degree in Nursing (for nursing modules) or Healthcare or Science (for life science modules) or Language (for Chinese and English Language modules) or Mathematics (for mathematics modules) plus

B) At least 5 years’ relevant working experience.

C) Applicants with only a relevant degree and/or professional qualification plus at least 8 years’ relevant working experience will also be considered. At least 1 year's teaching experience is required.

Assessment / 課程評核要求:
A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings:
1) Module 'Fundamental Human Anatomy and Physiology':
Continuous assessment: 40%; Examination: 60%

2) Module 'Basic Principles in Dispensing':
Continuous assessment: 50%; examination: 50%

3) Module 'Professional Caring Skills': Examination: 100%

4) All other modules:
- English Reading and Writing Skills (In-class Activities 10%, Assignment 30%, Test 60%)
- English Speaking and Listening Skills (In-class Activities 10%, Project 30%, Test 60%)
- Foundation Chinese (In-class Activities 10%, Assignment 50%, Project 40%)
- Introduction to Food and Nutrition (Project 40%, Test 60%)
- Fundamental Health Interventions (Test 60%, Practical Assessment 40%)
- Fundamentals of Elderly Care Nursing (In-class Activities 50%, Assignment 50%)
- Fundamentals of Nursing and Health Promotion (Project 50%, Test 50%)

B) Completion Requirements:
1) Overall Passing Mark: 40% (for each course module)

C) CEF Reimbursement Requirements:
1) Overall Passing Mark: 50% (for each course module)
2) Attendance Requirement: 80% of the contactable hours (for each course module)
